Got an e-mail yesterday referencing, of all things, our review of the 2001 Incubus album Morning View, which I gave the rock-bottom rating of 0.0. We always enjoy getting mail here at Shaking Through, even from Incubus fans. At least he kept it short and to the point: “YOU’RE AN IDIOT.”

Am I? I’ve always hated Incubus, and I believe in my heart of hearts that most right-thinking people do, as well. I hated Morning View so much, for reasons the review makes perfectly clear, that I couldn’t bring myself to review their subsequent efforts. Although to show that I’m open-minded, I’m willing to admit that their current single, “Dig,” isn’t a bad song. At least, it doesn’t trigger my gag reflex as much as most of their stuff. Still, I have to say, I stand by every word.
